Doubling the pack is the single most expensive thing a manufacturer can do, and it is the specification that decides whether an e-bike is still useful on the third day of owning it rather than just the first. Against that: the listing advertises a speed that fits no US class, and contradicts itself about which speed it is.

The range claim is plausible here, and that is unusual

This matters more than it normally would, because of what we found on ASKGO's other best-seller. The ASKGO Mountain 26 claims 65 miles from a 499 Wh pack, which needs 7.7 Wh per mile, less than half what any e-bike achieves, so that number is arithmetically impossible. This bike claims the same 65 miles from 960 Wh, which is 14.8 Wh per mile. Optimistic, but real: that is roughly the figure a light rider gets on flat ground in the lowest assist level, pedalling throughout. Plan on 35-45 miles in mixed use and the pack will not embarrass itself. The difference between a claim you should ignore and one you can plan around is the whole point of reading the arithmetic.

In practice: on private land, on OHV trails where your state permits them, and in the many places where nobody is checking, this is an enormous amount of hardware for $500.
