Privacy
Ebike Oracle collects basic server logs and privacy-preserving affiliate click data.
For affiliate click tracking, IP addresses are hashed with a server-side secret before storage. We may store the source page, referrer, user agent, and country code when available.
We do not sell personal data.
Analytics tools we use
We currently run two analytics tools alongside our nginx server logs:
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session recordings + heatmaps so we can see where the site is confusing visitors and fix it. Clarity drops one first-party cookie (
_clck) used to deduplicate sessions; it does not contain personal information. Sensitive form inputs are masked by default in the recordings. Hosted by Microsoft. - Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) — aggregate pageview, source, and conversion data. Drops
_gaand_ga_<container>first-party cookies. Hosted by Google.
You can opt out of Microsoft Clarity at any time via the Microsoft privacy dashboard. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. A uBlock Origin / Privacy Badger / similar browser extension will block both scripts.
We do not run Facebook Pixel or any advertising-network tracking.
Server logs
The nginx access log records every HTTP request to the site (URL, IP, user agent, response code, timestamp) for a rolling 30-day window for operational debugging — diagnosing 502s, identifying bot traffic patterns, and so on. Logs are not shared with third parties.
