Privacy
Ebike Oracle collects basic server logs and privacy-preserving affiliate click data.
For affiliate click tracking, IP addresses are hashed with a server-side secret before storage. We may store the source page, referrer, user agent, and country code when available.
We do not sell personal data.
Analytics tools we use
We run two analytics tools alongside our nginx server logs:
- Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) — aggregate pageview, source, and conversion data. Drops
_gaand_ga_<container>first-party cookies. Hosted by Google. - Ahrefs Web Analytics — aggregate pageviews and referrers. Sets no cookies and does no cross-site tracking or fingerprinting, so there is nothing here to opt out of and nothing stored on your device. We run it beside Google Analytics because it counts visits Google's tag misses, which tells us how much of our own data we are losing. Hosted by Ahrefs.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. A uBlock Origin / Privacy Badger / similar browser extension will block both scripts.
We previously ran Microsoft Clarity for session recordings and heatmaps. It was switched off on 20 July 2026 and its script is no longer served on any page.
We do not run Facebook Pixel or any advertising-network tracking.
Server logs
The nginx access log records every HTTP request to the site (URL, IP, user agent, response code, timestamp) for a rolling 30-day window for operational debugging — diagnosing 502s, identifying bot traffic patterns, and so on. Logs are not shared with third parties.
