Almost every bike under $700 on Amazon uses mechanical discs, and hydraulics are the single largest safety difference available at this price, shorter stops, less lever effort, far better in the wet. The range claim goes the right way

Likebike claims "30+ miles" from 48 V x 20 Ah = 960 Wh. That is about 32 watt-hours per mile, which is below what the pack can do, normal riding is 20-25 Wh/mi, so 38-48 miles is realistic. Nearly every other bike in this batch inflates its range; two of them claim figures that are arithmetically impossible. A brand that under-promises on the one number buyers plan around is telling you something about the rest of its sheet.

(The listing does contradict itself in passing, one bullet header says "18Ah" before the text states 48 V x 20 Ah. We publish the stated 20 Ah figure.)

The gap: no top speed, anywhere

Likebike never states a top speed. Not in the title, not in the bullets. That is the one figure that decides which of the three US classes a bike belongs to, and without it you cannot determine the legal position from the listing at all. A 1500 W peak motor on fat tyres will comfortably exceed 20 mph, so assume it is above Class 2 until you have it in front of you, and check the display menu for a speed limiter before your first ride.
