Our verdict
The Gyroor H30 Max ($159.99 at our last check) is a 10 mph kids' electric scooter for ages 6 to 12, with three speed modes and a 132 lb limit. It has a 150 W motor, a 56 Wh battery that Gyroor says charges in about 2 hours, an electronic brake on a hand button plus a rear foot brake, a Bluetooth speaker, and a UL 2272 claim from Gyroor's own store and its blue Amazon listing. Gyroor publishes no range figure, and its own stores give a 154 lb limit where the Amazon listing says 132 lb, so plan on 132.

The numbers
Gyroor H30 Max Kids Electric Scooter is a kids' electric scooter for riders aged 6 to 12 that scores 6.8/10 on our editorial rubric, last verified on November 1, 2026. Amazon lists it at $159.99 right now. On Amazon it currently ranks #249 Best Seller in Electric Vehicles. It pairs a 150 W motor and a 56 Wh battery, rated for a top speed of 10 mph. The scooter weighs 13.2 lb and is rated for riders up to 132 lb. It has an electronic brake (E-ABS) on a left-hand button and a rear fender foot brake. The seller states UL 2272 certification (on the Amazon listing or the maker's own site); we could not verify it in the certifier's directory. Follow the maker's age and weight limits and use a helmet every ride. It best suits children aged 6 to 12 and under 132 lb who will grow through three speed modes.
Pros
- + Three speed modes (6, 8 and 10 mph on the listing) to step up as the child improves

- + Ages 6 to 12 on the listing and on both of Gyroor's stores
Cons

- Families who want a short 2-hour recharge between rides
- A gift for a child who wants music and lights on the ride
What the Gyroor H30 Max is
The H30 Max is a stand-up kids' electric scooter from Gyroor, the brand behind the Gyroor H40 and the seated Gyroor C1. It has a 150 W brushless motor, a thumb throttle, an LED display, lights in the deck and the front wheel, and a Bluetooth speaker under the deck. Amazon sells it in blue, pink and a dark (black) color; a fourth option, the H30Max Classic, is listed as discontinued. On November 1, 2026 the blue listing had an overall Amazon sales rank of 8,561 and was #44 in Amazon's Scooters category. Gyroor also sells it on gyroor.com and gyroorboard.com. We have not ridden it. Every figure on this page is Gyroor's or its Amazon listing's, and where the two disagree we print both.

Which child it fits
Which child it fits
Gyroor and the listing agree on the age range: 6 to 12. The handlebar sets at 34, 36 or 38 inches, so it rises as the child grows, but no rider height range is published, so hold the lowest setting against your child before you wrap it: a 6 year old should grip the bar with bent elbows, not reach up to it. The weight limit is where the sources split. The Amazon listing says 132 lb, in its bullets and in the titles of the pink and dark options. Both of Gyroor's own stores say 154 lb. We use 132 lb, the lower figure and the one on the listing you buy from. That is more room than the Segway Ninebot C2 Lite (110 lb) or the Gotrax GKS Mini (120 lb), and the same as the Segway C2 Pro. At 13.2 lb the scooter is lighter than either the C2 Lite (17.2 lb) or the GKS Mini (16.3 lb).
Speed modes, starting and where kids can ride
Speed modes, starting and where kids can ride
There are three speed modes. The listing gives 6, 8 and 10 mph; Gyroor's own store gives 6.5, 8 and 10 mph, and gyroor.com mentions only 6.5 and 10. Either way the slowest mode is about 6 mph: gentler than the Segway C2 Lite's 7.5 mph Standard mode, but twice the Hiboy Q2 Lite's 3 mph starting mode, so a child who has never ridden should start with an adult walking or jogging alongside. Gyroor's store says the motor waits for a kick: the rider pushes off to about 3 mph before the throttle engages, so the scooter does not shoot forward from a standstill. The listing rates it for a 10 degree climb and gyroor.com for 15 degrees; with 150 W, treat steep driveways as a walk-up.
Gyroor's own page recommends protective gear and adult supervision. We treat every kids' electric scooter as something to ride with an adult nearby, on paths, driveways and quiet spaces away from traffic. Many states set a minimum age or a license rule for electric scooters on public roads; California, for example, requires a driver's license or instruction permit (Vehicle Code §21235). Check your town's rules on sidewalks and paths.
Battery, charging and range
Battery, charging and range
The battery is 21.6 V and 2.6 Ah, which works out to 56.16 Wh: the same size Gyroor fits to the H40, and about the same as the Segway C2 Lite's 56 Wh. Gyroor's store says a full charge takes about 2 hours, one of the shortest charge times among the kids' scooters we cover (the Gotrax GKS Mini takes 6). Gyroor publishes no range or run time for the H30 Max, and the listing does not either. For a rough sense, Segway rates the C2 Lite's 56 Wh battery at 5.6 to 8.7 miles with a 66 lb child, and Gyroor gives the H40's identical pack 40 to 60 minutes of riding. Those are other scooters, so treat them as a guide and not a promise. Our usual range estimate is built from adult riders of 175 to 180 lb, so we do not apply it to kids' scooters.
Let an adult do the charging, with the charger from the box, on a hard floor where you can see it and away from doors and exits, and unplug it when it is full. If the charger is ever lost, replace it by the output voltage printed on the original; a charger for a bigger scooter can have the same plug and the wrong voltage.
Brakes, build and the Bluetooth speaker
Brakes, build and the Bluetooth speaker
It stops two ways. A brake button on the left of the handlebar applies the electronic brake, which Gyroor calls E-ABS, and the rear fender is a foot brake the child presses down with a heel. There is no mechanical hand-lever brake like the Segway C2's drum brake, so the foot brake is the one that does not depend on the battery. Practice both on a flat, empty surface before the first real ride. The frame is aluminum, per the listing. Neither source gives the tire size or type or a water rating, and neither says the scooter folds; the handlebar adjusts for height only, so check it fits your trunk standing up. The speaker pairs with a phone over Bluetooth, and the deck and front-wheel lights come on while it rides. Lights help a child be seen at dusk; they are not a reason to ride after dark.
Gyroor gives a 1-year warranty on mechanical parts and 6 months on the battery, with a 30-day return window on its own stores. Assembly is a few screws, per Gyroor, and the tools come in the box.
Safety: UL 2272, recalls and helmets
Safety: UL 2272, recalls and helmets
The blue listing's title and bullets say UL 2272 certified, and Gyroor's own store describes the battery pack as UL 2272 certified. No testing lab is named, and we could not verify it in the certifier's directory. UL 2272 is the fire and electrical safety standard for a scooter's whole electrical system; it does not cover crashes or brakes. New York City has required it for e-scooters sold there since September 2023 (Local Law 39). No CPSC recall found for the Gyroor H30 Max as of November 2026; the only Gyroor recall in CPSC's database is for its C3 e-bike, from December 2022.
The helmet is the safety feature that counts most. CPSC estimates e-scooters sent 79,300 people to US emergency rooms in 2024, and only 18% of injured riders in CPSC's data were wearing a helmet. California requires a helmet for motorized scooter riders under 18. Buy one that fits your child's head now rather than one to grow into, and if the scooter is a gift, put the helmet in the same box. Our scooter safety guide covers helmets, charging and how to search recalls.
How it compares
How it compares
- Gyroor H40 ($169.99 at our last check): the older sibling. Gyroor rates it for ages 8 to 14 and 143 lb, with a 180 W motor, the same 21.6 V 2.6 Ah battery and the same 10 mph top speed, but no speed modes are stated for it. Choose it for a child close to 12 or over 132 lb, who would soon outgrow the H30 Max.
- Segway Ninebot C2 ($142.48 at our last check for the C2 Lite): our top kids' pick, for ages 6 to 10 and 110 lb, with a hand-lever drum brake, range figures for a stated rider load and Segway's statement that TÜV Rheinland tested it to UL 2272.
- Gotrax GKS Mini ($119.99 at our last check): cheaper and slower at 7.5 mph, for ages 6 to 12 and 120 lb, but the listing gives no battery size and it takes 6 hours to charge.
- FanttikRide C9 Pro ($146.99 at our last check): for ages 8 to 12 with three speed modes, a fold and a full maker manual, but no UL 2272 claim and both brakes work from the rear fender.
Who should buy it, and who should skip it
Who should buy it, and who should skip it
Buy the H30 Max for a child of 6 to 12 and under 132 lb who will ride paths and driveways with you nearby, if speed modes you can step up as they improve matter more to you than a published range. As a holiday or birthday gift it has two practical points in its favor: it goes together with a few screws, and Gyroor says it charges in about 2 hours, so a flat battery on the day does not mean a long wait. Skip it if you want a hand-lever mechanical brake, a range figure from the maker or a scooter that folds; the Segway C2 family has the first two, and the C2 Pro folds. Our best electric scooters for kids guide compares it with the wider field.

Frequently asked questions
What age is the Gyroor H30 Max for?
Ages 6 to 12, on both the Amazon listing and Gyroor's own stores. The listing sets a 132 lb rider limit while Gyroor's stores say 154 lb, so plan on 132. No rider height range is published; the handlebar sets at 34, 36 or 38 inches, so check that your child can hold the bar at the lowest setting with bent elbows.
Is a 10 mph scooter safe for an 8 year old?
It can be, inside the maker's limits and with the right setup. The H30 Max is rated for ages 6 to 12, and 10 mph is only its fastest mode: start an 8 year old in the slowest mode (6 mph on the listing, 6.5 mph on Gyroor's store) and move up once they start, steer and brake without thinking about it. Ride with an adult nearby, away from traffic, and use a helmet every time: only 18% of injured e-scooter riders in CPSC's data were wearing one.
How long does the Gyroor H30 Max battery last?
Gyroor does not say. Neither its stores nor the Amazon listing publishes a range or run time for the H30 Max. Its battery is 21.6 V and 2.6 Ah (56.16 Wh), the same as the Gyroor H40, which Gyroor rates at 40 to 60 minutes of riding. A full charge takes about 2 hours, per Gyroor. A heavier child, the fast mode, hills and cold weather all shorten a ride.
Is the Gyroor H30 Max UL 2272 certified?
The blue Amazon listing says UL 2272 certified, and Gyroor's own store describes the battery pack as UL 2272 certified. No testing lab is named, and we could not verify it in the certifier's directory. No CPSC recall found for the Gyroor H30 Max as of November 2026; the only Gyroor recall in CPSC's database is for its C3 e-bike, from December 2022.
How do the brakes work on the Gyroor H30 Max?
Two ways: a button on the left of the handlebar applies the electronic brake (Gyroor calls it E-ABS), and the rear fender is a foot brake the rider presses down with a heel. There is no mechanical hand-lever brake. Practice both on a flat, empty surface before the first real ride.
