Our verdict

7.5
/ 10

The NAVEE ST3 ($499.99 at our last check) is a long-range commuter with brakes and suspension above its price: a 500 W rated (1,000 W peak) rear motor, a 477 Wh battery, damping-arm suspension at both ends, a real rear disc brake, 10-inch tubeless air tires and IPX5. We estimate 18 to 22 miles at full speed, close to NAVEE's own 22-mile figure at 20 mph. The costs are its 54.7 lb weight and a top speed of up to 24.9 mph that is over several states' scooter limits, and only the Amazon listing claims UL 2272.

The numbers

NAVEE ST3 Electric Scooter is a folding electric scooter for riders aged 16 to 50 that scores 7.5/10 on our editorial rubric, last verified on October 25, 2026. Amazon lists it at $499.99 right now. On Amazon it currently ranks #26 Best Seller in Electric Scooters. It pairs a 500 W motor (1,000 W peak) and a 477 Wh battery, rated for a claimed range of up to 37.3 miles and a top speed of 24.9 mph. Its 24.9 mph top speed as shipped is above California's 15 mph scooter limit, so California riders must hold it to 15. New Jersey's legal e-scooter must be under 19 mph, so it is not a legal e-scooter there. It is above the 20 mph line New York uses to define an e-scooter, so check your state and city rules before buying. Scooters are not e-bikes, so the US e-bike classes do not apply. The scooter weighs 54.7 lb and is rated for riders up to 265 lb. It rides on 10-inch tubeless tires, with dual suspension and a front drum brake, a rear disc brake and rear electronic (EABS) braking. The seller states UL 2272 certification (on the Amazon listing or the maker's own site); we could not verify it in the certifier's directory. It best suits commuters riding up to about 9 miles each way on rough city pavement.

Pros

  • + 477 Wh battery: about 18 to 22 miles at full speed by our estimate
  • + A real rear disc brake plus a front drum and electronic braking
  • + Damping-arm suspension front and rear on 10-inch tubeless air tires
  • + IPX5, traction control, turn signals and Apple Find My
  • + 265 lb rider limit and published range test conditions

Cons

  • - 54.7 lb, and the handlebar does not fold
  • - Up to 24.9 mph, over several states' scooter limits unless you cap it
  • - Only the Amazon listing claims UL 2272; NAVEE does not
  • - NAVEE's own pages disagree on top speed (20 vs 24.9 mph)
  • - About 8 hours to charge

Who is this for?

  • Commuters riding up to about 9 miles each way on rough city pavement
  • Riders up to 265 lb who want a rear disc brake and suspension at both ends
  • Riders who can roll the scooter in rather than carry it

What the NAVEE ST3 is, and what the listing gets wrong

The ST3 is NAVEE's mid-range commuter, one step up from the NAVEE GT3: a 500 W rated rear hub motor (1,000 W peak), a 477 Wh battery, 10-inch tubeless tires and polymer damping arms front and rear, according to NAVEE's US product page and ST3 manual. NAVEE's own store listed it at $499.99 on October 25, 2026. The Amazon listing gets several things wrong, and where it disagrees with NAVEE we use NAVEE's figures.

Spec Amazon listing says NAVEE says
Tires "10 inch tubeless solid" 10-inch tubeless air tires
Weight 52 lb 54.7 lb (24.8 kg)
Range 37.5 miles 37.3 miles at 9 mph, 22 miles at 20 mph
Terrain "Off Road, All Terrain" cement or asphalt, bumps under 1 cm
Frame aluminum steel (global page)
UL 2272 claimed not stated

The motor, brakes, 265 lb rider limit, 24% climb, IPX5, traction control and Apple Find My all match. One more catch: the same Amazon listing family sells the GT3, GT3 Pro, GT3 Max, GT5 Max and ST3 Pro, and the ST3 and ST3 Pro look almost identical in photos. Check the model name before you buy.

How fast does the NAVEE ST3 go, and where can you ride it?

NAVEE rates the rear hub motor at 500 W with a 1,000 W peak and a 24% climb. Labo Fnac measured a 15% maximum slope on an EU unit that is capped at 25 km/h (15.5 mph), so treat 24% as the best case. Traction control (TCS) can be switched on in the NAVEE app, and there are Pedestrian, standard (D) and Sport (S) modes.

NAVEE contradicts itself on top speed. Its US spec table and page title say 24.9 mph, and its copy says "Unlock 24.9 mph", while the highlights on the same page say "20 MPH Max. Speed". NAVEE's global page says 40 km/h (24.9 mph) for the US version. Either way, plan on limiting it. At 24.9 mph it is above the 20 mph ceiling in New York's e-scooter definition (VTL §114-e) and New Jersey's under-19 mph line, and well above California's 15 mph limit for motorized scooters (Vehicle Code §22411). California also requires a driver's license or instruction permit and a helmet under 18 (§21235). Pennsylvania does not allow e-scooters on public roads. Scooters are not e-bikes, so the US e-bike classes do not apply.

How far does the NAVEE ST3 really go on a charge?

The battery is 46.8 V × 10.2 Ah, which works out to 477 Wh, and NAVEE's figures agree with each other on that, unlike on the GT3. NAVEE claims 37.3 miles at 9 mph and 22 miles at 20 mph. The manual's footnote gives the test conditions: no wind, 77°F (25°C), a full charge, a constant 9.3 mph (15 km/h) on a flat surface and a 165 lb (75 kg) load.

Our estimate for a 175 to 180 lb rider at full speed is about 18 to 22 miles: 477 Wh divided by 22 to 27 Wh per mile, the middle half of 32 published full-speed range tests of commuter scooters. That sits right on NAVEE's own 22 miles at 20 mph. Labo Fnac measured 26.9 miles (43.3 km) on its 15.5 mph EU unit, which rides slower than a US one. For most riders that is a commute of up to about 9 miles each way with no charger at work. A full charge takes about 8 hours on the 70 W charger (Labo Fnac timed 8 hours 36 minutes).

Ride, brakes and build

The ST3 rides on 10-inch tubeless air tires, not the solid tires its Amazon listing claims, with four polymer damping arms, front and rear. NAVEE calls it "automotive-grade quadruple suspension"; it is not adjustable. Braking is a front drum, a rear mechanical disc and rear electronic braking (EABS); the disc is real, shown in the manual's parts diagram and confirmed by Labo Fnac. NAVEE cites ASTM F2641 braking tests.

It is rated IPX5 for water. The lights are an automatic 2 W headlight, a tail light, turn signals at the handlebar ends and reflectors front, rear and side. The NAVEE app adds a motor lock, regen level, auto lights and Apple Find My (iPhone only); NAVEE's own FAQ notes the app lock will not stop a thief. Despite the Amazon title, NAVEE's manual limits riding to cement or asphalt with bumps under 1 cm, and NAVEE's own store calls it a "Smooth City Electric Scooter".

The trade-off is weight. At 54.7 lb it is a scooter you roll, not carry: folded it measures 47.2 x 23.6 x 23.5 inches, and the handlebar does not fold. The rider limit is 265 lb, and NAVEE's manual sets the rider age at 16 to 50 and height at 120 to 200 cm (about 3 ft 11 in to 6 ft 7 in). NAVEE gives a 24-month warranty on the frame, motor and most parts and 12 months on the battery, for purchases through official or authorised channels.

Safety: UL 2272 and recalls

The Amazon listing states UL 2272 certification; we could not verify it in the certifier's directory, and the listing names no lab. NAVEE's own ST3 pages and manual make no UL 2272 claim. NAVEE does hold a UL Verified Mark (V750580), but that is a performance verification of range and acceleration for the ST3 Pro and GT3 Pro, not a UL 2272 safety certification and not the ST3. Since September 16, 2023, New York City's Local Law 39 has required e-scooters sold there to be certified to UL 2272 (NYC DCWP). If your building or city asks for proof, ask NAVEE for the certificate before you buy.

No CPSC recall found for NAVEE or its maker Spacewalker as of October 25, 2026 (CPSC recalls). Our electric scooter safety guide explains how to check a listing's claim.

How it compares

  • NAVEE GT3 ($449.99 at our last check): the cheaper sibling, with a 350 W rated motor, a 358 Wh battery, 20 mph and 46.3 lb, but no rear disc brake (front drum plus electronic only) and a 243 lb rider limit. Pick the GT3 if you carry the scooter often; pick the ST3 for range and braking.
  • NAVEE ST3 Pro (not reviewed here): a bigger 597 Wh battery, a 600 W rated motor, a 28% climb and self-sealing tires, at 55.8 lb; NAVEE's own store listed it at $699.99 on October 25, 2026. NAVEE claims 46.6 miles at 9 mph against the ST3's 37.3.
  • Segway Ninebot E3 Pro ($599.99): lighter at 40.1 lb with a smaller 368 Wh battery, a 400 W rated motor, 20 mph and front drum plus electronic brakes; Segway names TÜV Rheinland for its UL 2272 testing.
  • KuKirin G2 ($599): more battery (749 Wh) and disc brakes front and rear, but 57 lb, IP54 and a top speed far above every state's scooter line.

Who should buy it, and who should skip it

Buy the ST3 if you ride up to about 9 miles each way on rough city pavement, weigh up to 265 lb, and can roll rather than carry a 54.7 lb scooter. The rear disc brake, damping arms and 477 Wh battery are a lot of scooter for the money, and NAVEE publishes its range test conditions.

Skip it if you carry your scooter up stairs, need proof of UL 2272 (NAVEE does not claim it for the ST3), or live in a state with a low scooter speed limit and do not want to cap it. Our best electric scooters for commuting guide compares range and weight across our picks.

Frequently asked questions

Is the NAVEE ST3 a good scooter?

For a rough-pavement commute of up to about 9 miles each way, yes on paper: a 477 Wh battery, a real rear disc brake, damping arms front and rear, 10-inch tubeless air tires and IPX5, for $499.99 at our last check. The catches are its 54.7 lb weight, a top speed that NAVEE itself lists as both 20 and 24.9 mph, and a UL 2272 claim that appears only on the Amazon listing. We have not ridden it; every figure here is NAVEE's or a named tester's.

How fast does the NAVEE ST3 go?

NAVEE's US spec table says 24.9 mph and its copy talks of unlocking 24.9 mph, while the highlights on the same page say 20 mph. NAVEE's global page lists 40 km/h (24.9 mph) for the US version. That is above New York's 20 mph e-scooter line, New Jersey's 19 mph line and California's 15 mph limit, so in those states you need to cap it in the app.

What is the difference between the NAVEE ST3 and ST3 Pro?

The ST3 Pro has a bigger 597 Wh battery against the ST3's 477 Wh, a 600 W rated motor against 500 W, a 28% climb against 24%, and self-sealing tires, for 1.1 lb more (55.8 lb). NAVEE claims 46.6 miles at 9 mph for the Pro and 37.3 for the ST3. The Pro charges in about 10 hours, the ST3 in about 8. NAVEE's own store listed the Pro at $699.99 and the ST3 at $499.99 on October 25, 2026.

What is the difference between the NAVEE ST3 and GT3?

The ST3 is the bigger scooter: 500 W rated against 350 W, 477 Wh against 358 Wh, up to 24.9 mph against 20, a 265 lb rider limit against 243 lb, and a rear disc brake the GT3 lacks (the GT3 has a front drum and electronic braking only). The GT3 is 8.4 lb lighter at 46.3 lb and costs less. Both have suspension front and rear, tubeless tires and IPX5.

What is the NAVEE ST3 weight limit?

265 lb (120 kg), per NAVEE's manual and US page, with a minimum load of 25 kg. The scooter itself weighs 54.7 lb, per NAVEE (the Amazon listing says 52 lb). NAVEE's manual also sets the rider age at 16 to 50 and height at about 3 ft 11 in to 6 ft 7 in.

How much range does the NAVEE ST3 have?

We estimate about 18 to 22 miles at full speed for a 175 to 180 lb rider, from its 477 Wh battery divided by 22 to 27 Wh per mile. NAVEE claims 37.3 miles at 9 mph and 22 miles at 20 mph, tested at 77°F with a 165 lb load on a flat surface. Labo Fnac measured 26.9 miles on an EU unit capped at 15.5 mph.

Is the NAVEE ST3 off-road?

No. The Amazon title says "Off Road" and "All Terrain", but NAVEE's own manual limits riding to cement or asphalt roads with bumps under 1 cm and gaps narrower than 3 cm, and NAVEE's store calls it a "Smooth City Electric Scooter". The damping arms and air tires make rough city pavement more comfortable; they do not make it a trail scooter.

Is NAVEE a good scooter brand?

NAVEE is the scooter brand of Spacewalker Pte Ltd, the maker named in its manuals, and it documents its scooters better than most budget brands: full spec tables, downloadable manuals and range test conditions (a 165 lb load at a steady 9.3 mph, 77°F). It gives 24 months on the frame, motor and most parts and 12 months on the battery for purchases through official or authorised channels. We found no CPSC recall for NAVEE or Spacewalker as of October 25, 2026. Two cautions: its own pages sometimes contradict each other (the ST3's top speed is listed as both 20 and 24.9 mph), and its Amazon listings make claims NAVEE does not, such as UL 2272 on the ST3.

Does the NAVEE ST3 meet UL 2272?

The Amazon listing states UL 2272; we could not verify it in the certifier's directory, and NAVEE's own ST3 pages and manual make no UL 2272 claim. NAVEE's UL Verified Mark (V750580) covers range and acceleration on the ST3 Pro and GT3 Pro, not UL 2272 safety and not the ST3. If you need UL 2272, ask NAVEE for the certificate before you buy. No CPSC recall found for NAVEE as of October 25, 2026.
