Vivi's "Pro" suffix here buys software, not hardware: the ACE01 Pro rides on exactly the frame, motor, battery, brakes, and fork of the ACE01 we review separately, and adds a phone app that pairs with the bike for route tracking, GPS navigation, and an anti-theft alarm. We have not ridden either bike; both reviews work from Vivi's published spec sheets, which for the two models differ only in the connectivity line. That makes this the easiest recommendation logic in the catalogue: everything we say about the ACE01 — the torque sensor that makes sub-$1,000 assist feel natural, the correctly-sized hydraulics, the honest 25-35 mile range behind the 60-mile claim — applies verbatim. The $60 delta is purely a security-and-telemetry decision, and unlike most app-connected e-bikes at this price, the core bike still works fine if the app is abandoned — assist levels, throttle, and the display are all on-bike controls.

What the app layer actually adds

Vivi lists three functions: route tracking (ride logs on your phone), GPS navigation, and an anti-theft alarm that triggers when the parked bike is moved. The honest framing for any budget-brand app: treat it as a bonus, not a purchase reason, unless the anti-theft function solves a real parking problem — companion apps from value brands have a mixed longevity record across the industry, and a bike whose core functions depend on an app ages badly. The ACE01 Pro passes that test: the display, assist levels, and throttle are all physical on-bike controls, so the worst-case scenario is losing the tracking features, not the bike. For street parking, the movement alarm plus a GPS breadcrumb trail meaningfully improves recovery odds over the alarm-less ACE01.

Who should buy it

Buy the ACE01 Pro if the bike will regularly park where you can't see it — the alarm + GPS layer is $60 well spent against a $989.99 bike — or if ride logging matters to you. Buy the plain ACE01 and save the $60 if it lives in a garage. Skip both for the ACE07 if you need a step-through frame or live in a Class-3-restricted state, or for the F26FUL Pro if maximum range per dollar is the whole question.
